This seems to be a huge architectural hole - things can't work out of the
box without the user/admin performing arcane rituals and consulting
outside oracles written for non-solaris platforms...

If we are serious about delivering a highly integrated and functional
SAMP stack, it behooves us to do a better job of integration than this
project seems to be doing...
