Sorry to spread the discussion thread to OGB. I post email there
just because I found the initial discussion about MFI includes the
OGB mail aliases and I don't expect OGB take any action accroding my
email at all.

Yes, our team should have post some road map in opensolaris somewhere.
I tried my best to participate the opensolaris community all the time,
so I send out the email the first time I realize the megasas and mfi
support same hardware.(We just figure out that very recently).

I post the email discussion "MFI & Megasas" is not for stopping
MFI integration simply, the main purpose is FYI and inform opensolaris
users there is a driver called "megasas" provided by LSI which could
be integrated into Solaris later.

I think I can give opensolaris community and ARC more information about
megasas.

As I said in my previous email, Megasas driver has already been in Sun's
wiki page:

http://wikis.sun.com/display/BigAdmin/How+To+Install+Solaris+10+on+Intel+Platforms+with++LSI+MegaRaid+SAS+1078+Controllers
Our team have helped people solve problem about megasas on Intel platform.

LSI provides Megasas driver together with MegaCLI configuration tool for Megasas HBA.
Before ARC issue generic question, I'd like share my experiments with others since we've integrated
several RAID HBA drivers, frequent questions issued by ARC are: Is there any configuration tool
to configure your RAID HBA by your driver? If your driver support SPARC, how you configure RAID
with your driver?(on SPARC, without BIOS configuration utility, how you configure RAID?)

If the answers of the questions are both "NO" for MFI. I guess it's the time to consider the questions.

PS:Megasas has MegaCLI configuration tool provided by LSI and can be download from LSI website.

Thanks
Javen
