how to make a customed opensolaris img ISO?

Hi ,everyone.
 I want to create a customed opensolaris ISO like NexentaOS. Can someone give me some suggestion? method ,doc,tools ,env etc?
  Several days ago ,I built the opensolaris kernel according to the DOC  "build_opensolaris.pdf",but it end with BFU. It's not what I wanted.
