Are they really that bad? A quick look at the history for the project
reveals few (if any) incompatible changes.
Note that there are a lot of other interfaces here. Probably most
important among them for users (and for dependent projects) is the
"toc-file" format.

This directory sounds Project Private to me.
It seems a shame to have so many independent CD-burning programs, each
with its own array of drivers and dissimilar lists of supported drives.
