GStreamer based programs can easily be confiugred to work with either
SADA or OSS. All other audio programs in Solaris (such as Flash,
RealPlayer, and Ekiga) talk directly to SADA.
There are some interesting OSS audio applications that are not based
on GStreamer - an example is audacity. However, there are not any
such programs currently distributed with Solaris. If we were to modify
programs like Flash, RealPlayer or Ekiga so they worked with OSS,
then I would bet we would make them talk directly to OSS rather than
via GStreamer.
