The good news is that I've figured out what's wrong. It's our old
nemesis: /export/sac/Archives/ProjectDB/project.db. Garrett's cases
are not in that file. In fact, nothing's been added to the file in
several days.
Something has been torched here -- apparently around the time that
2009/212 was filed -- but it's unclear to me what that "something"
might be.
What's stranger is that 2009/212 (aka "20090401_john.levon") does not
appear in the database, but mail sent to the case has shown up in the
'mail' file, unlike with Garrett's cases. This implies that whatever
went astray, it somehow happened after that case was filed, but it
ended up roaching the data for 2009/212 (and others).
This all implicates sactrack_files2db.pl. Unfortunately, I really
don't know how to fix that script, nor do I have the time to spend
spelunking through it.
Is there a system administrator in the house? Or just someone with a
whole lot of spare time on his hands?
