I apologize. I did not intend to hit send. I was rushing out the door
for a doctor's appointment and intended to clean up the subject and
recheck my wording before I sent the message.

I'm happy with this too. It violates the CLIP spec as it is written
so I thought we should have this case set the precedent.

I see that now. As you have probably noticed, I'm getting the ARC mail
in digest form. The digest that said this case had been approved didn't
hit my inbox until after the PSARC meeting Wednesday. When I raised the
issue during the meeting, it seemed to me that I had raised the issue of
optional option-arguments and didn't see any reaction to the issue
before the case disappeared from the agenda. I was just asking for
clarification on what had been decided.
There is an on-going problem with external attendees having trouble
keeping track of what the ARC is doing. The agenda published for
Wednesday's meeting said this case was going to be discussed then and
didn't list at least five cases that were discussed. I know an agenda
needs to be published almost a week in advance, but the list of cases to
be discussed needs to be kept up-to-date on the external agenda like it
is on the internal agenda. Furthermore, as I remember the internal
agenda, there were links directly from the agenda to the case
directories for all of the fast tracks. There are no links in the
external agenda. I'm getting better at typing in the web addresses on
the fly, but it is a lot slower than the direct links.
It is also strange that I usually get ten or more daily opensolaris-arc
digests every day and that they frequently hit my mailbox in groups of
three or more. Sorry for venting; it has been a generally frustrating
day... ;-{
