Indeed. :-<
It won't necessarily help you to know, but there are many folks aware
of the problem, and who are independently working on parts of the fix,
but it's something that'll likely take a while.

That sounds like a good idea. I have some old documents that were
drawn up during the last attempt at a set of requirements. I'm not
sure if they're immediately useful (too many toys involved), but I'll
see if I can get them posted.
