Reject IPv6 route header type 0
1.2. Name of Document Author/Supplier:
Author: Brian Utterback
1.3 Date of This Document:

4. Technical Description
RFC 5095 deprecated routing header type 0 because of security reasons. This actually leaves no
routing header types as valid. Because we continue to process these route headers, we are
failing the IPv6 certification tests. This project proposes to remove the processing of
route header type 0 and treat it as we do all other unknown types.
