That's not true. At least it certainly wasn't true for S9 or S8. We
announced EOF of software features in S8 and S9 Updates that then took
place in the next Minor release (S9 and S10, respectively), and those
announcements were _not_ in the FCS notes.
That _might_ have been true back in Solaris 7 or 2.6, but back then,
release cycles were measured in months, not large numbers of years.
