It's just that we will be on-par with other Unix variants, when it comes 
to supporting this standard flag.  Further, all the SIOCGLIFFLAGS 
callers would start seeing this flag, hence forth.

AFAIK, there is no way to know if underlying device is promiscuous or 
not, using any of the CLI utilities, today. Going forward, ifconfig(1m) 
is one way to do so.
