Thanks for the clarification.  I understand the IP situation and won't have any problem downloading kqemu as a separate package.

The part that I am having problems with regards libSDL.  Is it still true that it must be compiled under gcc 3.x?  If so, is there a more detailed HOWTO (i.e., starting from pkg-get gcc, etc., etc.)?  Thanks again.
