I like the way Blastwave.org is structured as I can mount everything in a separate partition to be shared by multiple Solaris installations.  The installations can be subsequently upgraded, but /opt/csw stays there.  No need to re-install those packages.  Coming from Linux background, this is IMNSHO probably one of the best selling points for Solaris.
