[osol-discuss] newbie - kstat help please - bytes not updated for my NIC on an x86

Can anyone help me with this problem please?
I am a Solaris newbie.

When I run 
kstat -p -m e1000g -i 0 -n e1000g0

I can see that the packet count is being updated but not the byte counters.

I get the same problem when I use nicstat - the packets/s are updated but the 
kB/s are not -they remain at zero - even when i am transferrring a large file (>300MB) to the machine. 

Also when i run se nx.se my e1000g0 is not listed. It just lists

I am running solaris 10 6/06 on an x86.
