[osol-discuss] syntax errrors building opensolaris kernel

we are using Solaris express community edition not Open solaris 2008.05 live cd.
And now we have installed the machine with option "entire distribution with OEM" instead of minimal version.
For building new kernel image -
We are using sun solaris compiler 11 and on closed bins (debug mode). Yesterday during nighlty build encountered problems such as-

a) Why is segmentation fault occuring
b) Swap area is 2.6GB. Why is it asking for more. Minimum requirement according to Developers edition is 1GB.
