Everyone's been pretty sullen and gloomy around here with all the talks of IBM buying Sun and what not, so I thought I'd share this clip of a very nifty and elegant Solaris TV Commercial someone made to cheer everyone up:

For some reason, this commercial really cracks me up, but I guess I have a weird sense of humor:

...I can cure world hunger, I can regulate the Earth's CO2 levels, I will transmute all humankind into beings of pure energy and light, I will locate all of your missing socks.... heh

I don't know if it's indicative of my background or not, but when the part came when the talking Solaris computer said:

'I will make human errors obsolete...'

the first thing that popped up in my mind was:

Doesn't St. I-GNU-cius and the Church of EMACS already have a macro that does that?
