That turned out to be an issue for me (setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH in my
.profile). I noticed that the native firefox on OpenSolaris snv_123
wouldn't start and beadm was also having issues. I unset
LD_LIBRARY_PATH and restarted my X session and found that firefox and
other misbehaving apps started working properly. All of which reminds
me what a work colleague once said about the evils of setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH
in one's session environment. It's much more suited to shell script
wrappers.
