That's correct there isn't (at ;east currently) an "official" distro.
My guess is that like the Linux market place, users and ISVs will pick
the top N distros and support/use those.  Presently there are two
OpenSolaris "distros": Solaris Express and ShilliX.  Which is much the
same as Linux in that there isn't an official Linux distro (though
RedHat et al might have something to say about that!).

I agree.  IIRC, at the CAB meeting in Portland last week we kicked
around the idea of having an "official" distro as a longer term goal.
