[osol-mktg] OpenSolaris Developers Conf

I'm sure Laura Ramsey will chime in once she sees this thread tomorrow morning - 
it's nighttime where she is!

I've just asked Laura to spend time in August talking with folks in the 
community and around Sun to collect input and ideas for an OpenSolaris 
conference.  There's lots to figure out - is it just for developers or for both 
developers and users, for example? It is strictly OpenSolaris or does it embrace 
the many Solaris developers (who perhaps haven't mosied over to opensolaris.org 
yet, but will/may later)?

I think having a conference is a *great* idea.  Especially one that is "open" - 
where anybody interested can register and attend the conference.  And it's 
definitely time to start the planning and logistics, which is why I've asked 
Laura to get the conversation rolling...
