[osol-mktg] Feature and Tutorial Blogging & Outreach

I want to encourage everyone who's blogging (or interested in blogging)
to blog about features and functionality in Solaris10/OpenSolaris.
You'll notice in my blog (cuddletech.com/blog/) that I've been covering
lots of functionality, in fact I have for months, such as:

- Simplifying Zone Management with NIS & AutoFS
- Using RBAC on (Open)Solaris
- Accessing CIFS Shares in OpenSolaris: Sharity
- OpenAFS on Solaris10/SPARC
- S.M.A.R.T. on Solaris
- Patching Solaris 10
- OpenSolaris Concepts
- Dual booting OpenSolaris & Gentoo
- Tape Robot Control in Solaris
- Demystifying Sun's UltraSPARC Lines

Thats just some of them in the last 60 days... there are more dating
back to January on topics such as networking, basic setup and admin, so
on and so forth.

None of these topics are guru type material, and they aren't supposed to
be. I'll be honest, I get embaroused blogging stuff this basic out of
fear that someone will think I'm dopey, but thats not whats important.
Whats important is that we're seeing users pour into OpenSolaris, some
are downloading, some are just looking, some are actively watching, etc,
and what we don't want is for someone who's run Linux for 6 years to
feel like a moron when they try out Solaris, they are just gonna tuck
tail and run in many cases rather than ask for help. Providing plenty
of groundwork for new and experienced users alike is, I think, an
essential way of welcoming them into our home.

One thing thats really seperated us from other projects thus far is just
how little infighting there is. We're easy going (mostly) and open to
new comers, and a way to just keep that good will running is to blog
anything and everything so that when our new friends go looking for
information they can find it. This is just another form of outreach
that helps everyone and can help you make a name for yourself in the
process.
