Hi,

The OpenSolaris logo is derived from the same graphical style as the
current Solaris logo - as such I am not sure if it is a font or a
graphic (which happens to have the letters a,e,o,i,l,n,p,r,s). The
OpenSolaris logo is a Sun trademark which may be used by Sun partners
(per https://brand.sun.com/), but this isn't especially
community-friendly. I will check to see if the logo is based on a
particular font and report back if there is any positive news.

In the meantime, I believe that Sara has been looking into how this
might be used by the community beyond standard fair use (current terms
are here http://www.opensolaris.org/os/trademark/, although it looks a
little out of date to me).

Sara, any news to report?

regards

Patrick
