The OpenSolaris logo is generated using a Sun font. Which means that Sun owns the rights to the font as part of our brand. So, no is the most accurate answer. As Patrick pointed out, Sun has trademarked the OpenSolaris name, so there are rules and guidelines associated with it's use. This is similar to other open source communities which own and regulate the use of their trademarks.
