I found this interesting:

Although there was no real annoucement, other than a mention on an Apple product page and 
a couple of blogs, according to Google analytics, we just had the biggest spike in 
searches for "DTrace" to date: bigger than its annoucement in the summer of 2004, bigger 
than it being opened in January 2005.
