very well darling, points noted. but truly, dealing with the operating system should require the least amount of one's time. hence, i disagree with anyone who believes that we should spends any amount of time with “lots of tweaks” all of which often makes said os less efficient, less secure and often more prone to crashes.
truly, in the past i have come across the need to learn new things, hence, i often refer to the help files/blogs/howto/script docs etc.
what i am trying to say is this, the os is a framework much like the body of a car and the individual programs it controls. hence, it/the frame matters not/very little, you need only learn how to use the controls. in additions, you expect said vehicle as a whole to meet certain safety and security standards set forth by the govt and insurance companies.
note, automatic gear shifting has out sold and is often preferred to stick shift; i wonder why?
nonethless, there is a book called “lessons in grid computing – the system is a mirror” by stuart robbins (wiley publishing), i truly believe that you should consider reading it.
