Well, there's surely an audience for whom this newsletter is
interesting; as a technologist, I can say that I'm not a member of
that set of people... the newsletter is quite dense and is really
a summary of marketing activities.
As a suggestion for the future, add more links:
"OpenSolaris marketing participated in the Gartner Open Source Summit in
Orlando, Florida"
could be:
"---OpenSolaris marketing--- participated in the ---Gartner
Open Source Summit--- in Orlando, Florida."
(And of course put links to the appropriate photo streams on flickr...)
Same for people, too-- link to them if they have blogs or pages; the
best web newsletters let you swim around in the specific context of the
content which they discuss.
So I guess that I agree with Jim-- there needs to be a culling and
"value add" process which stitches together multiple sources of
information: marketing, development, press, etc.
(Maybe I should take a cut at what I have in mind. I don't know
if I have the time).
