This DVD is big already and its really basic :
$ ls -lap
total 26
drwxr-xr-x 6 root root 512 Mar 3 11:43 ./
drwxr-xr-x 25 root root 512 Mar 2 19:13 ../
drwxr-xr-x 2 root other 512 Mar 3 11:44 distro/
drwxr-xr-x 4 root other 512 Feb 22 10:15 dvd/
drwxr-xr-x 5 root other 512 Mar 3 09:00 dvd-bob/
drwx------ 2 root root 4096 Feb 20 19:23 lost+found/
$ ls -lap distro
total 4975008
drwxr-xr-x 2 root other 512 Mar 3 11:44 ./
drwxr-xr-x 6 root root 512 Mar 3 11:43 ../
-rw-r--r-- 1 root other 2544709632 Mar 3 11:54 dvd-bob-rev01.iso
$ ls -lap dvd-bob/
total 20
drwxr-xr-x 5 root other 512 Mar 3 09:00 ./
drwxr-xr-x 6 root root 512 Mar 3 11:43 ../
drwxr-xr-x 2 root other 512 Mar 3 09:18 BeleniX/
drwxr-xr-x 2 root other 512 Mar 3 11:24 Nexenta/
drwxr-xr-x 2 root other 512 Mar 3 09:00 SchilliX/
$
So we see 2.5GB for the DVD ISO thus far and I have not put in the
article contents for installation instructions.
If anyone wants to see my work and mistakes here it is :
[ warning .. this is raw images and I am creating text now ]
(1) SchilliX 0.5.1
http://www.blastwave.org/dclarke/opensolaris/SchilliX/
I screwed up totally with this and need to redo everything. The
README file that I needed is now on the DVD ISO and I need to go back
and redo SchilliX from square zero.
(2) BeleniX
http://www.blastwave.org/dclarke/opensolaris/BeleniX/
(3) Nexenta
(3.1) Nexenta Live CD
http://www.blastwave.org/dclarke/opensolaris/Nexenta/live/
(3.2) Nexenta Install CD
http://www.blastwave.org/dclarke/opensolaris/Nexenta/install/
More things will appear as I continue to work.
Like text for example :-)
All work was done with VMWare WorkStation running on RHEL 4 AS 64-bit
which locked up repeatedly during the process. I had to login and
kill off vmware as well as reboot twice. I have no idea why. I
suspect something is less than wonderful with my RHEL4 install. I'm a
Solaris guy and I am not used to having a desktop lockup on me at 3AM
for no reason other than some disk activity.
Work continues ...
