[osol-mktg] Re: Where is the kernel source?

I am still trying to figure out how to download the kernel source code. So far it seems that every method listed on the web site is broken, i.e. SVN does not work, and there are no links to any tarballs. Furthermore, attempts to obtain a CD or DVD fail because it asks for me to log in, but refuses to accept my login and password (even though it will happily email me a password).

I need to access the source code to figure out how I can modify an old in-house protocol stack to communicate over UDP instead of over ATM using streams. Unfortunately, none of these APIs seem to be documented, at least in Solaris 8 which I have the source to.

As you can tell, I am becoming increasingly frustrated with OpenSolaris. I wish to look at the new since it seems to be better commented than the source to Solaris 8, which I have and which is basically totally uncommented in the areas I need to work with.

If OpenSolaris ever wants to gain any sort of foothold, the source must be easily available. I.e. I can hop on to kernel.org and grab any version of the Linux kernel source code, but all attempts to obtain source to OpenSolaris seem to end in futility.

At least make a nightly or weekly tarball available and put it someplace where someone could download it.
