[osol-mktg] OpenSolaris 2nd Birthday Picnic

Ben Rockwood is working on getting a project together to get the picnic going.  He has already reserved the location of the Amphitheatre at Baylands Park in Sunnyvale on Saturday June 16th.

Joyent has already offered to pay for the cost of meat, which is awesome.

There are basic things like tables, chairs, bbqs that we'll need to organize.

Then details, like beverages, sides, napkins, etc.

Also small events, like a place for kids  (maybe a tshirt painting, face painting, balloon garden, OS pinata), maybe contests for the craziest OS project idea, the most pivotal moment a person has had while in the OS community, maybe even a voted OS homecoming King and Queen?  Music would be provided by Weird Al CDs. I have more ideas for later.

And getting the word out and getting people interested in attending  :)  It would be great if this was a huge event!  I know it would really rally the troops as a community and get media out about the project, which would be great.  I am really looking forward to getting this going!
