Is there any interest in meeting "this side of the hill" before heading
down to Santa Cruz?  I could pull together an impromptu tour of Sun's
Menlo Park campus, the Executive Briefing Center and the Usability labs;
we could even walk down the halls where the Solaris networking and OS
engineers sit (at least, those who do their sitting in Menlo Park :-)

On the other hand, a Friday afternoon at the beach in Santa Cruz
has a lot more going for it than touring some stuffy old office building
in Silicon Valley!
