My only thought is that the name should be immediately intelligible and 
inviting.

"Ubuntu Live"  is a good name because it gives insight into it 
represents, and it suggest a broad appeal.  If I have any interest in 
Ubuntu, I know I will have an interest in Ubuntu Live.  If I'm selling 
commodity PCs, it's even something I might think about sponsoring.

To my mind, using the same word to describe the conference as another 
project is less of a concern than having a name that people understand 
-people in the community, people who might want to join the community, 
people who are observing the community.

Witty as "OpenSolaris.io.us" is, I worry that this kind of name doesn't 
help us.  The name should be informative.
