1-2 hours is not much for a tutorial. Half a day would be 3.5 hours.

that eats time. If you ask me as a speaker (on other occasions): If it's
a new topic I would try a talk first, later a tutorial. But YMMV (and those
of others) ...

Why not doing something similar as you presented on Tech Days? YOu can
also submit more than one talk....
