James Gosling, father of Java, is going to speak at the September 
meeting of the Atlanta Java User Group.  He'll be speaking on Sept. 19th 
at the Regal Cinema theater in Atlantic Station.  There are a limited 
number of seats, so register early.

The talk will start at 6PM, followed by a feature film (to be selected 
by AJUG at its August meeting).  Complementary popcorn for the first 100 
people to arrive will be provided by Arteo Group.

James Gosling is best known for designing the Java programming language 
and overseeing its implementation.  His achievements also include the 
engineering of the NeWS window system and the original Unix Emacs 
editor.  He has recently been a contributor to the Real Time 
Specification for Java.  He holds a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon 
University and a B.Sc. from the University of Calgary.  Mr. Gosling 
currently spends his time as  a researcher at Sun labs, where his 
primary interest is software development tools.
