The Atlanta OpenSolaris User Group will have its next meeting on August
14, 2007 at the Sun Office in Alpharetta, Georgia. Meeting details and
directions can be found here <http://opensolaris.org/project/atl-osug>.

   * *What:* ATLOSUG August Meeting
   * *When:* Tuesday, August 14, 2007, 7-9PM
   * *Where:* Sun Office, Alpharetta, GA
   * *Contact:* Scott Dickson (scott dot dickson at sun dot com)
   * *Topic:* Dynamic Resource Pools in Nevada
   * *Speaker:* Scott Dickson
   * *Abstract:* Solaris has long had the ability to separate CPUs into
     processor sets and to bind application workloads to these sets. In
     Nevada, processor sets are abstracted into persistent processor
     pools and are made dynamic. Processors may be added or deleted
     from a processor pool while running, without disturbing the
     application workload. This can be done either manually or
     automatically. Constraints nd objectives may be provided to the
     pool management system to help it achieve the desired behavior for
     each processor pool. This talk will cover use of the new dynamic
     processor pool features in Nevada and in Solaris 10.

Hope to see you all there!
