[ug-bosug] More Belenix feedback

Hi,

i have been trying to port some of my old programs from linux to
opensolaris(belenix rather).   i would really like to say that gcc
(3.3.4?) under belenix(still using 0.4.3) compiled *much faster* than
other systems that ive tried (linux 3.4 and freebsd 3.4)... the
difference was just a few seconds as per my watch but i really havent
performed any time study for comparision.     Way to go!! :=))

perhaps when time permits i shall  install gcc 4 on all these platform
for a more formal study.


i have also had some stability issues.... once, after typing reboot at
the prompt and pressing enter, i managed to get a kernel dump.
another time, during the same command, i got loads of junk character
scrolling past and i had to power off the machine.  however, these
happened at random only once and i have not been able to repeat them.

the only other problem i had with rebooting was when i had an audio cd
in the drive and the drive wasnt properly unmounted. the prompt would
go back to admin/maintenance mode in endless loop ( power off again
since i was lazy :P ).
