It is planned to have a complete multi-cd or DVD install media.
BeleniX will become a complete distribution.

NetBSD Pkgsrc which is officially supported on Solaris:
http://www.netbsd.org/Documentation/software/packages.html
It is package manager + auto-update + auto-build system that
we are working on adapting to manage the entire system including
the core OS packages.

Support for multiple virtrual consoles is a kernel feature and is being
worked on currently by several people in China.
BTW if you are looking for a complete GNU environment running
on top of OpenSolaris kernel you can try the Nexenta distribution:
http://www.gnusolaris.org/gswiki
It is a Debian/Ubuntu type of system but uses OpenSolaris at the
core.

Yep licensing. The documentation team is working on open-sourceing
the manpages. But I do not have an ETA - maybe a couple of months.
