[ug-bosug] Call for topics for the next BOSUG meet

Hi venky,

We all are working on some Operating System, and trying to make One complete
distribution Live CD/DVD based on Open Solaris.

Is any specific topic should be there to meet?
 i don't think so.

whenever a newbie using belenix, he is feeling some uneasy with belenix.

why?
he is seeing different logo.
he is seeing different booting messages.
he is seeing different Installtion steps and different partition.
he is using different shell. He can switch to bash.. it is ok. but He won't
convience. because he is a newbie. he will ask silly silly questions, your
peoples have to answer.
because we are trying to make One complete distribution Live CD/DVD based on
Open Solaris.

 *my suggestion is: *

  We should meet monthly once atleast. many peoples(except sun peoples) are
interested to contribute on open solaris. by having this type of meeting
every month, we can increase the users of belenix. your peoples have
to suggest them to complete their task.
Sun people only doing everything means,

how the others will contribute?
how the others will be using?
how it will reach every one in the world like linux.
why i am telling this is?,in my comapany( Motorola ), Solaris is my server,
not desktop. whenever i am feeling bored, i will do my work, for that only i
will connect to server. all other time, i am using another Operating
system to do my usual things like chating, checking mails,preparing
documentation.

will it be usefull for us. No Way?.

It should be
flexible,
intelligent,
user friendly,
*most important is* "In some way, the user should be contributing on that
operating system(directly or indirectly)" , then only the user
will be interested to use that.

my newbie will take time to contribue ya?. because they may be working in
some company and for interest only they are doing this. your peoples
should have patience for my newbie to complete their task. Then only we can
achieve our goal *"One complete distribution Live CD/DVD based on Open
Solaris"*

you are asking about presentation know?.
My newbie have lot of doubts, can you convience him in one day as a solaris
user?
