   True!  One of the things that can make familiarization easy is 
something like
   the Rosetta Stone:

   http://bhami.com/rosetta.html

   It lists out common tasks and gives comparative commands and comments 
for multiple OSes.
   The Solaris section is quite out of date and this page compares too 
many OSes. We need to
   have this updated or better still put a stripped down version of this 
page on the Genunix
   Wiki and list only FreeBSD, Linux and OpenSolaris.

   This is quite encouraging. We want to involve more and more community 
participation.
   After all this is opensource and it cannot succeed without 
participation from community.
