[ug-bosug] OSUG startup issues

Dear all,

I am the Sun campus ambassador of IIT Guwahati. I am starting an OSUG in my institute. I have some issues for which people in this group will give the best suggestions.

What are the best initial lectures that can be organised? I am supposed to talk about ZFS, DTrace, Zones etc in the meetings. But given the situation of my institute that no one has used Solaris until now, I dont think this is the best thing that can be done to gain a good userbase. After the installation demo I would like to talk about stuff that will make Solaris another desktop option. I want to concentrate on showing how Solaris can be made more userfriendly, different configuration issues, settings, how to install applications etc.

I want your suggestions on what should each initial lecture cater to so that they have a smooth shift from Linux to Solaris if not from Windows to Solaris.
