I see this as your first mail requesting for help for starting a user group
!
Incase you have requested for help on any other forums, ppl here wouldn't
know.
Some of the mail exchanges in this thread should be useful inputs as to
where to start and what are the possibilities. Anil's points summarise the
initial way to go well.
Getting the starter kit from get.opensolaris.org is a good starting point.
Also get and install Solaris Express on one of your systems.
Incase you still feel it is a completely unfamiliar territory, you should
checkout with the campus ambassador in IIT-Kharagpur and work with him/her
to initiate programs. Do you guys know who is the campus ambassador in your
campus? If yes, what are the programs that the person is planning.
it was told in the workshop that OPENSOLARIS is the best way for a

The list members here are the general public interested in using
OpenSolaris. If you refer to any workshops or any other forums where you
have discussed with other people, we (list members) wouldn't know unless you
provide more details.
I request you ppl to help us(may be by video lectures)
On the cards. I remember Ananth acknowledging the pending activity in
another mail...quite a few ppl interested in the video recordings of the
BOSUG meetings. Will be announced on the list once done.
regards
Shiv
