Yes, I understand that.

My point is the "principle of least surprise" for a newcomer to the
community. He should not be made to move all around the place for
information/download. The above sites are islandized due to historical
reasons, but that doesnt mean they have to stay that way.

IMHO, opensolaris.org should have all of the following:

* project hosting and mailing list(already done)
* help forum (Jive does this)
* wiki (currently at genunix)
* Download of distribution(being worked on by indiana)
* News (being worked on)
* Help/Howto pages (Currently spread across various project pages, and
docs.sun.com. If the wiki is incorporated, a "Howto" section could be
added containing various articles with informative pages.0

Genunix may provide _very good_ wiki and hosting servers, but becomes
something different from opensolaris.org. A user would psychologically
look around at opensolaris.org for information, however he may not
goto genunix (If info isn't available at OS.org, I would turn to
google, rather than genunix. I suspect so would a lot of others.)

If all OS information is moved/maintained at opensolaris.org, the user
needs one registration to access all resources. Also his mindset is
"Hmm.. I need info on <opensolaris topic>. I'll find it at
opensolaris.org" or "How do I go about doing <this>.. let me search at
wiki.opensolaris.org".

This IMHO is much better than "Hmm.. I need to know about <topic>,
shall I goto OS.org? Or genunix? Heck.. I'll just use google"
