You can always post to bosug alias.
learning Solaris on SPARC or x86 does not make any difference (unless
you want to look into kernel and that too into the
machine specific code which is a very small percentage).
So, go ahead and start playing with it :)

Also, if you are interested in the opensolaris kernel internals then,
the book (SOlaris Internals ) is now available in Indian print
and costs about 500 (after discount) :)
