Welcome. The steps to create an opensolaris usergroup is listed here:

It is fairly straight forward. Getting to Kharagpur from Bangalore may 
be not so frequent. However, there is always someone travelling. So, the 
chances of making it atleast once is high.

Sir,

I am student of iit Kharagpur.
during Kshitij(the techno-management fest of iit kharagpur.) sun micro 
systems has conducted a workshop on Solaris 10.
It was a big success. The thing is that we are not much aware of Solaris 
here.
The workshop was very influencing.
Here some of us use Linux and we have LINUX USERS GROUP and a local 
mirror for Linux. So most of us are tending towards Linux.

After knowing the features of SOLARIS. I am very much influenced.
It was told in the workshop that
you ppl can setup a SOLARIS USERS GROUP here and also can take classes 
for us. free of cost!!!
if any  one of us can take initiative.

So, I am ready to take the initiative. Kindly consider our request and 
help us in possible ways.
