Recently procured a brand new HP laptop, with following
general specs: AMD Turion 64 bit 1.6 gHz, 512 mb RAM with 40
gb HDD, Combo drive.

Linux LFS and Fedora Core 6 installs fine in 64 bit mode, yet
to check things like wireless etc. I kept two partitions (10
gb each) for good old OpenSolaris ... but ...

No joy with Solaris Exprees (build 56), Belenix and Nexenta.
All three fail in initial part of install process after the
kernel loads. All three give the folowing error, which keeps
on scrolling the screen up, stopping only with physical power
off: "NOTICE: lp0: too many interrupt requests". No printer is
connected.

The system is still new, and suitable for experimentation. Has
anybody faced this type of thing before ? Can anybody help in
somehow "force" installing Solaris Express ? I can bring the
box down to any place/ time at your convenience.

Bish
