[ug-bosug] Addition of 64 bit support to x86.miniroot

hi All,

I have following queries:
1.  I am using "GRUB AND THE SOLARIS™ OPERATING SYSTEM ON X86 PLATFORMS - A
GUIDE TO CREATING A CUSTOMIZED BOOT DVD" by John Cecere.
However it says that x86.miniroot doesnot have 64 bit support ( the document
says its beyond the scope )
So, what all needs to go into x86.miniroot(kernel files/libs, userland
files/libs), so that x86.miniroot will be able to run 64 bit applications
too?

2. Can anyone point me online resources, which will explain what all is
needed for  64-bit application  support?
