[ug-bosug] From where should I start

Hi,
  I am new to Solaris and I want to start from the basics. Can anyone please help me with this. One more problem I am facing is that while installing Solaris 10 express, the installation program does not detect my S-ATA hard drive.
  Please provide some guidelines.
