Hi Udit,

You can have a look at projects on Belenix website

<http://www.genunix.org/distributions/belenix_site/?q=projects>).
Among this list, I will say you can pick : Replace closed source commands.
For this all you need is
- get yourself familiar with how other commands on OpenSolaris are 
implemented
  Have a look at : 
http://cvs.opensolaris.org/source/xref/onnv/onnv-gate/usr/src/cmd 
<http://cvs.opensolaris.org/source/xref/onnv/onnv-gate/usr/src/cmd/ls/ls.c>  
let say 'ls' or any other command.
- follow the same template for implementing command you have chosen to 
implement
