[ug-bosug] Ideas for bosug

How does the idea of a hackathon @ one of the bosug meets sound.

1. One or two people already working on their projects do some ground work,
the overall design is known. Coding, low level design are to be done - these
are identified.
2. Identify the set of interested volunteers
3. On the decided day, the guys working on the project give an opening brief
to the participating members. Set of "to be done" tasks are decided.
4. By the end of 2-3 hours, take the tasks to completion
5. Another half an hour to integrate the work of different people

Since bosug meets have wider audience, this need not be in lieu of the meet.
It can happen just before the meet(managing logistics on the meet day is
easier).

If not projects this can also be done for bugs. Identified a pool of bugs to
work on and fix a sizeable number of non-trivial bugs.

3-4 connected systems would be required. If this is difficult to arrange, we
can manage with laptops and usb sticks.

The idea is to
- give good momentum to a work that is already being done.
- makes it easier for people interested in contributing
- HAVE FUN.

Any other ideas / thoughts are welcome.
