The belenix team has done a remarkable job in making the live
CD really usable, and there has been a marked change from the
0.1 dished out at foss.in 18 months ago and the 0.5.x of
today. But for more visiblity, there needs to be some more
much needed changes instituted first.

a) Usability: It needs to be made HDD installable ASAP. A live
CD distro at best serves the purpose of "playing around" but
   no futher.

b) Package management : Something other than "apt-get" or
"yum" clones with its own "look and feel", something which
can make use of existing solais repositories (though I
personally prefer source based installs like a gentoo
   emerge)

c) Focus : I would feel, we should target the desktop rather
than servers, and be a competitor of Windows, rather
than Linux/*BSD. This would obviously entail hacking more
drivers and attacking the weird array of x86 H/W currently
   in circulation.

d) Dedicated server with own s/w repository, catering for seam-
less upgrades and security patches would help.

Once these aspects are attended to and you have Belenix boxes
running on a few desktops at homes/ offices in day to day use,
you need not depend on evangelising any more .. Those who have
used GNU/Solaris (nexenta) would realise these aspects easier.

Besides, without the above, neither publicity nor evangelising
is unlikely to be of much use.
