[ug-bosug] motherboard and system configuration for optimum Solaris performance

Hi all,

I intend to install Solaris on an assembled PC and was considering going in
for an AMD Athlon 3GHz processor. I would like to use the PC for development
purposes.

I would like to know, what is the best system configuration I need to have
for optimum Solaris x86 performance..

Is the AMD processor ok? or should I consider an Intel equivalent?What
motherboard, chipset, graphics card and how much RAM would be ideal?
