Hi Sachin,

You should look at the HCL list at http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/data/sol/
I am running Dell Inspiron 530 which is not listed there, but Solaris
works fine on it.

There is no special requirement to run crossbow.  You'll have to see
what kind of applications testing you want to do.
  If you want to run guest os'es in VirtualBox, then you'll need more
memory.  If you are running zones, then memory should not be an issue.
 If you want to experiment crossbow features, then you might want to
add NICs, which means, you should remember to buy ethernet cables and
a switch/router.
